Nadezhda Kadysheva is a Soviet and Russian folk singer, soloist of the Golden Ring ensemble. People's Artist of Russia (1999). Born on 1 June 1959 in the village of Gorki, Leninogorsk District, Tatar ASSR (now the Republic of Tatarstan). At the age of 10, together with her younger sister, because of the death of her mother, she was sent to a children's boarding school in Bugulma, where she spent four years. There she attended a singing class and participated in school concerts. At that period she decided to connect her life with musical art. At the age of 14, the future singer moved to the Moscow region to her older sister. She worked at a cotton-spinning factory as a washerwoman. She studied at the M.M. Ippolitov-Ivanov Music School, then continued her studies at the solo singing department of the Gnessin State Music and Pedagogical Institute (now the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music) in the class of Professor Nina Meshko. The singer's discography includes concert recordings, compilations and more than 20 studio albums released with the Golden Ring Ensemble. 3 Video clips have been made for many songs. Nadezhda Kadysheva is the performer of many hits, such as ‘The Stream Flows’, ‘Village Road’, ‘Snow Flies and Flies’, ‘I'm Not a Sorceress’, ‘Go Away, Grief’, ‘Why This Summer’, ‘Ah, My Fate, My Fate’, ‘Lost Happiness’, ‘Wide River’. Nadezhda Kadysheva's vocals can be heard in the films ‘Shiroka Reka’ (2008) and ‘Destiny's Mysterious Tomorrow’ (2010).
