Emanuela Alexa, known by her stage name Emaa, is a Romanian singer and composer born on April 2, 1992 in Lugogi, Romania. She started practicing music from an early age, participating in talent competitions, and was supported by her family. Emanuela studied sociology and psychology at the University. She started her musical career in the alternative rock band BAB from Timisoara, and in 2015 she started her collaboration with Silent Strike, releasing her first single “Mâine”.
In 2020 she signed with Global Records and became popular with the song “Insula”, recorded in collaboration with The Motans. Her debut album “Macii înfloresc iarna” was released on December 1, 2020 and includes both solo compositions and collaborations such as “Gasolina” with Sickotoy and “N-aud” with Carla's Dreams. Emaa was awarded the title of “Best Upcoming Artist” at The Artist Awards 2021 and contributed to the soundtrack for the HBO series “Hackerville.”
