The Motans is the stage name of Moldovan singer, songwriter and composer Denis Roabes. Born on August 2, 1989 in Chisinau, he rose from a marketing specialist in Moscow to one of the most popular artists on the Romanian music scene. After realizing that his true calling is music, Denis returned to Moldova and started his music career in 2015. His first success came with the song “Versus”, released in 2016, thanks to which he caught the attention of a wide audience. Soon The Motans released the track “Weekend” with Delia, which was a turning point in his career. Over the years, he has won numerous prestigious awards, including Best Song and Best Collaboration for his compositions “Poem” and others. The Motans released two albums, “My Gorgeous Drama Queens” (2018) and “My Rhythm & Soul” (2020), which solidified his success and yielded hits such as “Poem” and “Saint Loneliness.” In 2022, he became a mentor on the Vocea României show, showcasing his talents and experience in working with young artists.
