Gunna (Sergio Javanni Kitchens) is an American rapper, singer and songwriter. He was born on 14 June 1993 in College Park, Georgia, United States.
Kitchens began writing songs at the age of fifteen. In 2013, he released his debut mixtape Hard Body under the pseudonym Yung Gunna.
Gunna was introduced to American rapper Yung Tug through Keith ‘King’ Troop, their mutual friend and social activist, who died in December 2015. Kitchens participated on Tag's song ‘Floyd Mayweather’ off his Jeffery mixtape.
On 14 October 2016, Gunna released his debut mixtape Drip Season on the YSL Records label. On 11 May 2017, the follow-up to the record was released. On 30 November, he released his debut mini-album Drip or Drown, produced entirely by Wheezy, his close friend.
