Rammstein is a German metal band, formed in January 1994 in Berlin. Members Till Lindemann, Richard Kruspe, Paul Landers, Oliver Riedel, Christoph Schneider, Christian Lorenz. Group line-up never changed.
History of Rammstein started in late 80's and early 90's in punk-rock circles, where some of future band members crossed over under such labels as Feeling B, Die Firma and First Arsch. The lyrics were written by Till Lindemann.
The first album entitled "Herzeleid" was recorded in March 1995.
The second album was released in August 1997, called "Sehunsuchtu. The official videos for the songs "Engel" and "Du hast" were filmed. This album brought unheard-of popularity to the band. In Autumn 1998 Rammstein toured with such artists as Korn and Limp Bizkit as part of "Family Values" tour.
On April 29, 2022 band released their eighth studio album "Zeit".
Rammstein were nominated for Grammy in 1999 with the track "Du hast" and in 2006 with "Mein Teil" for Best Metal Performance. Winners of the World Music Awards as the World's Top-Selling German Artist in 2005 and 2010.
