Andrei Ionut Ursu, also known by his stage name “WRS”, is a Romanian singer, dancer and songwriter Born on January 16, 1993 in Buzau, Romania. He started dancing at the age of 12, inspired by his parents who were professional folk music performers. In 2015, Andrei joined the boy band Shot, but two years later he decided to focus on his solo career and moved to London.
WRS made his debut as a solo artist in January 2020 with the track “Why”, which gained popularity on music platforms. In February 2022, he represented Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with the song “Llámame”, placing 18th. His famous works also include hits such as “Amore” and “Tsunami”, which have been high on the charts.
Andrej is active in the electropop genre, experimenting with modern sounds and bringing pop culture elements to the music. In 2022 and 2023 he won the show “Te cunosc de undeva!”, and in 2024 he participated in the popular project “Asia Express”. Today WRS continues to release new singles under the name Andrei Ursu and is actively developing his career in the music industry.
