3 Sud Est (or 3rei Sud Est) is a cult dance group from Romania, formed on September 17, 1997 in Constanta. The collective consists of three members: Mihai Budeanu, Laurenciu Duta and Viorel Shipos. The name reflects their origin from the southeastern part of Romania.
The band quickly gained popularity with the hits “Ai plecat” and “Amintirile”, becoming one of the most successful in the Romanian music scene. Their debut album, released in 1998, sold over 200,000 copies, strengthening their position in the industry. In 2014, after a temporary breakup, the band returned with the hit “Emoții”, which confirmed their status as leaders of the genre.
3 Sud Est perform music in pop and eurodance styles, creating melodic compositions with deep lyrics. They continue to release new songs and perform extensively, remaining popular with several generations of listeners.
