Sickotoy (real name Alexandru Cotoi) is a Romanian composer, producer and disc jockey. 2 He collaborates with the music label Global Records. Cotoi wrote his first songs in 2003. In October 2007, he formed the musical group Sonichouse together with Radu Dimitriu, Răzvan Gorcinschi and Victor Burosu. On April 16, 2011, the band released their only album, Supersonic. In 2016, he won the Grammy Award for Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album for his contribution as composer on the song “The Baddest Girl in Town” (2015), which was included on Pitbull's ninth studio album, Dale. Under the pseudonym Sickotoy, he released the commercially successful songs “Addicted” and “You Don't Love Me” in 2019 with Minelli and Roxen respectively, which reached the top three on the Romanian Airplay 100 chart. In 2022, he was a member of the jury for the music competition One True Singer, which was produced by HBO Max in collaboration with Global Records.
