Ilira Gashi (born October 29, 1994), professionally known as simply Ilira, is a Swiss singer and songwriter. Ilira Gashi was born in Brienz, Switzerland. As a teenager, she participated in singing competitions in Switzerland and Albania, including representing Switzerland in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest as a member of the group Colors. Ilira later moved to Berlin, Germany and signed a management and publishing contract with Sony/ATV Music Publishing. In 2018, she signed with the Four Music label and released her debut track “Whisper My Name” on August 24, 2018. In 2019, Ilira released four singles, “Do It Yourself”, “Diablo” (with Spanish producer and sound engineer Juan Magan), “Pay Me Back!” and “Extra Fr!es”. In 2020, she released the singles “Royalty”, “Fuck It, I Love It!”, “Ladida (My Heart Goes Boom)” (co-produced with Crispie), “Easy” and “Eat My Brain”. On December 14, 2021, Ilira announced that she had signed a joint contract with Virgin Records and Universal Music Group. On December 17, 2021, she released the single “Flowers” as her first solo single of 2021 and her first single under the Virgin Records label. In 2022, she released the single “Another Heart”.
