Mike Shinoda is an American musician, vocalist, guitarist, keyboardist, rapper, and artist and graphic designer.
He was born on February 11, 1977, in Panorama City, Los Angeles, California. His father is a third generation Japanese American. Mike has a brother, Jason.
In 1996, Shinoda co-founded the rock band Linkin Park. In it he played rhythm guitar, keyboards, wrote songs and performed as a rapper.
In 2004, Mike founded the solo project Fort Minor. He has also served as a producer for tracks and albums by other artists such as Lupe Fiasco, Styles of Beyond, and The X-Ecutioners.
In 2018, Shinoda released his debut solo album Post Traumatic. It consisted of 18 songs about the musician's feelings after the death of Chester Bennington.
