Terry Sanchez Wallace Jr., known professionally as Tee Grizzley, is an American rapper born on March 23, 1994. He began his music career by posting songs online in 2011 alongside his brother Alan Jozefowksi. After serving a two-year prison sentence, Tee Grizzley released his breakout track "First Day Out" in 2017. The song quickly went viral, amassing over two million views on YouTube in under three weeks, largely due to a social media challenge initiated by basketball star LeBron James. This success helped him secure a deal with 300 Entertainment. The release of "First Day Out" paved the way for his debut mixtape My Moment (2017), followed by the hit single "From the D to the A" featuring Lil Yachty, which earned a double platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Tee Grizzley continued to build his career with his collaborative mixtape Bloodas (2018) alongside Lil Durk and his debut studio album Activated (2018). His subsequent albums, Scriptures (2019) produced by Timbaland and Built for Whatever (2021), reached numbers 20 and 15 on the Billboard 200, respectively. In 2023, Tee Grizzley experienced a commercial resurgence with his fourth album, Tee's Coney Island, and its lead single "IDGAF" featuring Chris Brown and Mariah the Scientist, which once again charted on the Billboard Hot 100.
