Popcaan (real name Andre Hugh Sutherland) is a Jamaican dance music artist. 12 He was born on 19 July 1988. In 2008, he joined the music group Vybz Kartel Gaza Music Empire. In 2010, he released the international hit ‘Clarks’ together with Kartel. In 2013, he signed with Mixpak Records and released his debut studio album ‘Where We Come From’. In 2016, he signed with the OVO Sound and Warner Records labels. In 2018, he released his second album for Mixpak, ‘Forever’. Some of Popcaan's international singles are ‘Only Man She Want’, ‘Everything Nice’, ‘Ova Dweet’, ‘El Chapo’ and ‘Family’. He has collaborated with international artists such as Drake, Jamie xx, Pusha T, Giggs, Matoma, Wale, Gorillaz and Davido. In 2018, Popcaan made his debut as an actor in The Intent 2: The Come Up.
