Sash! - is a German music band consisting of Sascha Lappessen, Ralf Kappmeier and Thomas “Alisson” Lüdke. Sascha Lappessen was born on June 10, 1970 in Nettetal, Germany. He was interested in music since his youth, and found his first job at the age of 16 in the bar “The Kings”. The first result of the collaboration was the single “Indian Rave”, released under the pseudonym “Careca”. Soon Sasha and Thomas came to the conclusion that the band lacked one more person to help with the technical part of songwriting. That person was Ralf Kappmeyer. In November 1995, the band released the single “It's My Life” on the X-It label. Although the single was not released in the UK and no music video was made for it, the name “Sash!” gained some notoriety. The band's most successful single was “Encore Une Fois” with lyrics in French. More than 2 million copies worldwide and the second place in the British chart brought the band immense popularity. In the summer of 1997 the album It's My Life was released, which later became platinum. The single “Stay” was released from the album, which was as good as the previous releases. In August 1998, the band's second album Life Goes On was released, and four singles were released from it. The first was the summer hit “La Primavera.” This time the song was in Italian and reached number three in the UK. The band then released five more albums: Life Goes On, Trilenium, S4!Sash!, Life is a Beach, Life Changes.
