Ron May is a Russian author, performer, music producer and DJ in the genre of electronic dance music. Born and raised in St. Petersburg.
His passion for music began in 96-97, when he was still a teenager. At that time he got a computer and bought a disc with an unknown program for creating electronic music. That's how he started writing music.
A little later, together with his friends, he formed his own band and started performing music. Performed in different clubs and hangouts. In 2000 he released his first album. Its circulation was quite small - about 100 copies.
In 2009 he was noticed by a large Italian corporation Time Records, and in the same year he signed a contract with the organisation STARLIGHT. His works were also released on Ministry Of Sound and Hed Kandi labels. The co-operation proved to be successful and the tracks were played on many European radio stations.
The single ‘No Jazz’, released by him in 2010, took the first position in the charts of the authoritative online music portal Beatport and stayed there for 17 weeks. This made him one of the first Russian producers to achieve such success in the European electronic music market.
His tracks have been released on renowned labels such as Ministry of Sound, Armada and Hed Kandi, and continue to rank high in the dance charts, as well as being broadcast on popular radio stations.
